CHESS receives $109 million in grants

The Cornell High Energy Synchrotron Source (CHESS), at Cornell University (USA) has been granted a total of $109 million. The National Science Foundation (NSF) has received $77 million to continue its existing operation of the facility through 2014 and $32 million for research and development of prototypes for the Energy Recovery Linac (ERL).
